Resistant citizens in the Morvan region have decided to fight against the destruction of their forests in favor of softwood plantations, by becoming foresters themselves, buying up parcels of forest from the industrialists and proposing a model of forestry for the future. A model that is also forcing large-scale foresters to reconsider their practices of yesteryear and to think about more reasoned, environmentally-friendly forestry.
